20 things outside of me and 08 things inside of me for '08:
20 -
1. The next POTUS will be a Democrat, and therefore, not like any other POTUS before (either a woman or a Black man). America needs change.2. Oil has reached $100/barrel.....and we will either stop driving as much (relying more on public transportation) or look for increased use in alternative fuel methods.
3. Celebrity DownLow Brothers will be outed like no other movement.....Chris Stokes is just the beginning.
4. 1/3 of the states in the US will adopt some type of domestic partnership/same-sex marriage/union law, giving gay and lesbian couples recognition and rights of traditional marriage.
5. BET will succumb to the throes of reality and realize they are the single most denigrating factor to the downward spiral of the image of Black America today. Once they come to this realization (either by choice or by force) they will shut their doors and re-group.
6. Britney Spears will retire and put the paparazzi out of business.
7. The Writers Guild Strike will forever change the way people look at workers unions.
8. GWB will end his tenure with a bang....being impeached/indicted on conspiracy charges related to the CIA destruction of tapes (or some other highly controversial issue).
9. The Presidential election will be decided by Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, Nevada, and Colorado.
10. Whitney Houston will release her Comeback Prelude album. It won't be stellar, hence the prelude, but it will be worth buying.
11. Janet Jackson will be pregnant.
12. VA will overturn the incredulously errant reckless speed law applicable only to VA residents.
13. Florida will finally push the statewide rail system Jeb vetoed a few years back.
14. Charlie Crist will come out of the closet.
15. Alexyss K. Tylor will become the Iyanla Vanzant for the uneducated masses. She can relate to them in ways many dare not attempt.
16. R Kelly will elude trial for another year (sorry to disagree with you StoneColdBrown).
17. Micheal Jackson's album will be fairly decent if it ever surfaces.
18. Kanye's book will be on the Best Sellers list.
19. Abortions will be made illegal by the SCOTUS.
20. The aftermath of Hurricane Katrina will be brushed under the rug for good, leaving many permanently wiped away from America's memory.
08-
1. I will write everyday.2. I will not be with my current employer by the year's end.
3. I will not have to fret over financial situations I could have avoided.
4. DDG will regroup for Memorial Day '08.
5. I will celebrate my birthday like I should have in my 20's.
6. '08 will have a very unexpected surprise for me - either good or bad.
7. I will take my time instead of always being in a hurry or a rush (this is patience continued for me).
8. CFM will move into planning/proposal stages.

lol. soo..ive had some time to think about the "interim" thing. i decided that i would accept it for now. i figured, it is an upgrade from what i was and at least he wasnt referencing me as his "friend." we'll see what happens in the next month. hopefully a change will come for the better.
Heh, I like your predictions! It will be so interested to look back in 12 months and see how many of them came true!
RYC: lol, we probably passed each other in the air. Yep, the hip-hop church was in one of my posts! I'm glad that your niece and nephew enjoyed themselves. The church got a pretty nice writeup in the Tampa Tribune a few weeks back. Still dunno if that's the one place for me though....
1. I won't give America that much credit - especially if The Great Orator (my nickname for Obama) wins the Democratic nomination.
2. Gas will have to reach $5 a gallon for appreciable change in fuel usage, according to most economists. It was almost 4 in CA a while back and almost nothing changed out there.
4. I won't say 1/3, but I'll give you 8-10.
5. I'd be much more inclined to agree with this one, except 1) TV one exists and 2) black people aren't in charge of BET.
6. Don't know about 'retire', but she won't do anything music-related (which I guess is a semi-agreement).
8. The Dems don't have the guts to go after him.
9. I'd take the last two states out.
11. I actually agree with this one...just a feeling.
13-14. Crist won't want to ruffle feathers...and I think he just likes to not upset people (even when they need to be upset).
16. The beginning of the trial is set for 5/9, and the judge seems rather fed up. He's not getting out of it.
17. I've heard a couple of the new tracks...wasn't impressed (I think it's supposed to drop in February).
19. The Democrats will be too stretched out to work on #1, #8, and this one. If they try to spread themselves they'll go 0-3.
This was nice, though: got me to thinking. I actually was already proven right on #6 on my list, although the event will occur much earlier than I ever expected.
Sadly, I definitely don't think number 5 will happen... not in 2008 at least because the demographic in question doesn't even own the company like stonecold above said..
Didn't the guy that called out Stokes resend that statement? I HOPE there's no random sex tape...

ryc: okay...sooo..maybe i was rooty poot for not wanting to stay and sleep on the floor with him..... which wasnt actually the floor...it was really sofa...but the floor is where i wouldve ended up since the sofa would not have held the both us as i was sooo not feeling sleeping on top of him....so in the end...i wouldve been ejected from the sofa. that was more so the reason i suggested his friend sleep on the sofa. sooo..wouldnt be surprised if he was secretly paying me back for rejected his pallet idea.
i know im going to have to talk about it with him because its sooo going tear me up until i do, not to mention, inconsistency makes me super nervous too. too bad i cant do i tonite...the damn LSU game is coming on so ill get absolutely nothing accomplished if i do that. thanks a bunch gal.
I agree with 7. I definitely hope 8 happens because I am tired of the mofo evading "so-called" justice. 5 is inevitable. Peace, love and chokolatesoul.
